About Me

Stephen Bedard

My name is Stephen Bedard. My interest in disabilities and the church comes from two places. One one hand I am a pastor of a congregation that I desire to be welcoming and inclusive of people with disabilities. On the other hand, I am the father of two children on the autism spectrum and I desire that they would experience a healthy faith community.

My educational background includes M.Div, M.Th., and M.A. degrees and I am a D.Min. candidate. I have an interest in both biblical studies and practical theology, both of which will be reflected on this website.

I have spoken at a Christian Horizons conference on disabilities, been the retreat speaker for the Christian Horizons Family Camp and have presented a paper at the Summer Institute on Theology and Disability.

I am married to Amanda, have five children and live in the Niagara Region of Ontario, Canada.
